Good luck: It breaks the month before the warranty expires.

My friend's husband injured his shoulder and was really upset because he couldn't exercise the way he was used to. Then he found out he was supposed to deploy in a few months, during which my friend was going to give birth to their second baby. Guess what? He had a physical and they said he couldn't deploy because of his bad shoulder, so now he gets to stay home and see his baby be born :)
Bad luck: I got fired from a job.
Good luck: It made me reevaluate my life, lose weight, and get a better job where I made more money,.
Bad luck, my kid sister moved her family clear across the country so I never see her anymore.

I had the iPod Nano that apparently would catch on fire. So, I turned it in and received an iPod Nano touch with 5 GB of extra space. Cool.
Good luck: you find an awesome online deal for a beautiful little hotel, and accordingly plan a much-needed weekend break.
Bad luck: the car breaks three days before you're due to leave and the online deal doesn't include a refund.
OK so my story was the other way around, but I'm still VERY irked about it :-)

Awesome! My iPhone did the same thing last year. It broke three weeks before the warranty was up! I was so stoked. They actually gave me a new one for free.
I usually don't have your luck, Janet. I've had two computers break on me the month after the warranty. It's like they were programmed to explode at that time or something. :)

That IS some good luck! Did they completely replace it? Because then besides the pain of transferring everything, you'll have one that will last much longer, right?
I had the same thing happen with my dishwasher. Thank heavens my hubby bought the extended warranty!
My mind is drawing a blank. I'm sure I've had these cases happen to be. Of course I'm rooting on the side of good luck.

I love that good luck. I love it when it happens to me (though I can't think of any time). It makes me feel so blessed. :)
My laptop's been going through the same thing - broken, but extended warranty still in place for a few months! :)
