Imagine if there was no such thing as kryptonite. Lex Luthor would stand no chance. Zero. And where's the fun in that?
- So, for Superman it's kryptonite. (Duh.)
- For the Green Lantern Corp, it's anything yellow. (Seriously.)
- For Ironman, it's magnets. (Build a suit of iron and what do you expect?)
- For Captain America, Batman, and all those superheros who have no actual superpowers, you have your kryptonite of choice: guns, swords, grenades, etc.
What is your kryptonite?
Because mine . . . mine is cookies. As long as there are no nuts or fruit involved, I will fall to the power of a cookie every time. And don't even get me started on a soft sugar cookie with just a smidgen of cream cheese frosting and sprinkles. Mmmm . . .
Everything tastes better with sprinkles.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have a battle to lose.

Chocolate. I mean, really, there's no point in even battling it. I just surrender at the sight of it. And coffee, too, fresh out of the pot :)
I had to laugh. I was just wistfully looking at a plate of muffins ten seconds before I pulled up your blog. I have a battle to lose too.
I think facebook is my Kryptonite.
Mine is a good book! Forget writing when a page-turner falls into my hands. Sometimes when I'm done I can get right back into writing, inspired, other times I languish because I think I can never write that well in a million years :)
I have no kryptonite. I'm just that boring. I guess you could say that's my krytonite, being boring because I don't have a weakness. But that would be dumb to say that, because then it wouldn't be true.
Honestly, Janet, I have so many kryptonites it's hard to choose! Chocolate...yes. Cookies... yes. A great book... yes. Watching Grey's Anatomy when it comes online Friday instead of writing... yes! Reading and commenting on the blogosphere when I should be working...yes :) I could go on... :)
These days it's my boys, I getting back into the habit of reading to them at night, when I should be writing, but hey, they are only young once, that and spending a few minutes with my husband before we crash for the night.
chocolate, of course! need you ask? ;)
The internet is my Kryptonite.
Before the internet, I did things and got things done. Now, I just sits and reads.
(.... but I can't turn it off ... )
BAH!!! You cookied yourself out. :D Hmmm... this is a good one. I think my writing kryptonite is my friends. I swear, a great visit w/friends takes all my words. In a double-edged sword kind of way.
What to do about that? :p
Other projects. I like having a few things in the works a the same time--and they easily drag me away from writing. :P
Definitely cookies! My favorite cookie is a double chocolate-chocolate chip sandwich cookie with bailey's truffle filling. YUM!
It used to be old episodes of Gilmore Girls, but right now it's anything pumpkin-flavored :)
hi miss janet! my super powers get stole away by reeses peanutbutter cups. i get all weak all over. ha ha.
...smiles and hugs from lenny
I think my kryptonite would be movies/anything on the computer - facebook, youtube, etc. Yup, those would probably be the biggest reasons that I don't get writing/homework done.
Judging from my bookshelf, I'm going with YA books. Hence why I am sadly void of super hero powers. ;)
Right at this moment? Peanut M&Ms. *shoves fistful into mouth*
Chocolate. Ooh, have you tried chocolate covered gummy bears? Or chocolate covered pretzels? Mmm... :)
Dawn likes chocolate covered gummy bears, too?! Go, Dawn!! That's definitely my kryptonite!! I like Asian gummy candy. My mom brings me a bag of it when she visits from Hong Kong. And I can eat the whole bag in one day. It's that bad. It's almost a relief when it's gone.
Amy
My kryptonite is my self doubt. I think if I made a sale of some sort, that would help.
