This vs. That: Blue vs. Black Ink

So I can only assume that ink color isn't really that important to you based on the number of votes. OR, you were all completely distracted by my announcement that I was going to Paris. Which must be the case, because ink color is one of the big questions in my book.

I mean, someone who chooses Blue ink over Black is making a clear statement that they have chosen the road less traveled. And those who choose Green are all about flaunting their non-conformist attitude. Red reveals a Type A personality, and Purple . . . well, they probably saw a little too much of a certain dinosaur who shall remain nameless.

So much at stake. So here we go . . .

Total votes: 14

Black: 9 votes; 65%
Blue: 3 votes; 21%
Purple: 1 vote; 7%
Red: 1 vote; 7%

I confess, I went black.

So what does this say about me? See, black goes with everything, and it's sensible and to the point. Not flashy or showy, but it does its job, day-in, day-out, with only a little complaining when the sun shines too hard. Then it turns purple, and we already know what that means.

My, I'm feeling a bit rambly today. I'd better move on quick!

So the next important question?

Star Wars

vs.

Star Trek

Argh! I know I've been away too long -- I missed blue vs. black! Not sure how I'd vote because I like to switch the colors up. I'll use black til the pen dies then I'll switch to blue (or green or purple or...).

Star Wars vs. Star Trek. I'll probably put myself on a lynching list, but I'll say neither. I have seen a number of Star Trek episodes, but that was just because it was on after some other show on TV and this was back in the day before we had a remote control. hahaha.

Oh this one's easy ... Beam me up to the Star Trek side :)

Neither! LOL.

Back to the ink thing because I missed the voting. I'm a blue and a purple penner ;o) I actually WEAR a lot of blue too!

I have always liked both movie series.

My earliest memory, just a scattered set of images, is the closing scene of Star Wars at a drive in (I was 26 months). I have really been a fan all my life. However, I can't get past the newer movies (I-III) and how they lacked something the older ones (IV-VI) had.

I could say that the most recent Star Trek lacked something that you found in the original movies and series as well, but it was a blast to watch and opens the door for a lot of new material.

Star Trek is my vote.

I missed the pen voting as well. I feel very strongly about black ink, for no good reason, but blue makes me batty.

I have to vote for neither too. I've never seen Star Trek and I like Star Wars but not enough to make a big case for it. hehe.

Black ink. Star Trek

I feel very strongly about both of those. ;)

HA! I use a purple and blue pen...;) Missed that vote, though!

Star Wars all the way!!

I hate to choose! I usually prefer blue - but will switch it up once in a while.

But Star Wars & Star Trek???? How to choose? I adore both of them. But I'd probably have to say Trek as I've read a lot more of those books and my first (really bad) attempt at novel writing was a Star Trek one :)

Hmmm, can't remember if I voted for the ink survey, but it would have been black. All the other colors seem to fade a bit over time.

On to the current survey of Star Trek vs. Star Wars. I guess I'll have to say both. I've watched them both equally, I think.

I don't usually care what ink I write with, but I do have one story that REFUSES to be written in anything but black ink. *sigh*
As for your question...

What exactly are we talking about here? Star Trek original, next generation, or the movies? Star Wars episodes 4,5,6, or the new 1,2,3? I mean, I need more information!!!!!!(!!!!)

I also have a question for you! SG-1 or Firefly?
(bumbumbummmmm)

This is a no-brainer for me.

My gosh, I missed the Blue/Black debate? I HATE black pens. I know strong word, but true. As soon as I get a black pen (which is way too often as they tend to be the choice of freebies) I throw it away. Blue only ever for me.
And Star Wars over Star Trek. I like Harrison Ford more than Will Shatner, even though he is Canadian.

Okay, was there ever ANY question based on the completion of "A Tribble Ate My Lunch: The Official Star Trek Cookbook" that remains unofficial to this day?

Sorry I missed blue vs. black! Me, I'm equal opportunist, though I do have preferences of green and red and sometimes purple for editing and blue, purple and black for writing. Mostly I write with whatever the heck I can put my fingers on at the time!

Ha! For the record, I prefer black. But I like the really wet ink kind. I don't know what it's called though.

Also, not a fair question. :P

Blue, gel pen only. Black is too boring, sorry but come on! Everyone uses black. How cliche.

And Star Wars, hands down. Trek is too hit and miss. Star Wars always delivers.

Both are excellent, but Star Wars has a slightly better story so I'll go with it. Also can you kick the two people off your blog who answered neither and chose to flaunt their unnerdiness instead of participating? TIA

I missed the poll. I would've picked purple.

My choice is Star Trek.

I think I missed the poll:)

star wars. And I totally missed the ink question somehow. I always use different color inks. But that's mostly to keep my stories separate... Like I assign colors to different ones...

I bet that'd make me a Red-ink type of gal~ :D NTM

Star Wars! Of course!
